Eva's & Max'sOur story

Hello from our family!

A few words from Eva and Max's mum and dad about why this little website exists.

Who we are

We're two busy parents in the United Kingdom with two young children, Eva and Max.

Like a lot of families, our days are a happy jumble of school runs, work, dinners and bedtime stories. And like a lot of children, Eva and Max love games, especially the ones where they're quietly learning something without noticing.

The trouble with tablet games

When we went looking for good learning games for them, we kept running into the same problems.

  • Adverts popping up mid-game
  • Upsells, coins and “unlock the full game”
  • Another app to install and update

The adverts bothered us most. Just as a child is getting into something, the game stops and shows them something completely different. It breaks their focus, and it's hard to get it back. Many games seemed designed around spending money rather than around the child playing them.

So we made our own

We started making small games of our own, just for Eva and Max. We kept a few simple rules:

  • No adverts, ever
  • Nothing to install: they run in the browser
  • Work on a computer, tablet or phone
  • Something to learn in every game
  • Cute, gentle and never scary
  • No online chat and no sign‑up

Each game is a little thing you can open, play for ten minutes and close. No accounts, no strangers, nothing asking for your card details.

Made with love, by children too

These games aren't only made for Eva and Max. They helped make them.

Every game started with one of them explaining what they wanted to play. Then they tried every version, told us honestly what was boring, confusing or brilliant, and asked for changes until it felt right. Quite a few of the best ideas on this site are theirs.

  • Eva asked for…more cute animals, and for them to do something funny when you tap them.
  • Max wanted…it to be faster, louder and to have a bigger button to press.
  • Both of them said…“Can we play it one more time?” That's when we know it's ready.
  • Eva and Max insisted…that they had to be in the games themselves, waving hello.

So far that's given us:

When you play one, you're playing something two small people tested very, very thoroughly.

Free, for every family

Once the games were making our two happy, it seemed a shame to keep them to ourselves. So we've put them here for other families to enjoy, for free.

If your children have fun with them, that makes our day.

How we build them

We're honest about this: we use AI tools to help us build the games. They let two busy parents make far more than we could on our own in the evenings. But those tools cost money, and they're getting more expensive.

We want to keep the site free, with no adverts, for everyone. If you'd like to help, a small monthly contribution goes towards new games, new things in the games you already know, and keeping the site running.

It's completely optional, and you can cancel any time. The games stay free either way.

Coming soon: supporters at £10 a month get to preview new games first and suggest a game for us to make.

With love,
Eva and Max's mum and dad 💛
